Press Refurbishment

PROJECT OVERVIEW

A complete workshop refurbishment of a hydraulic press.

The press was stripped down and cleaned to provide a clear starting point for the refurbishment work.

The hydraulic cylinders were resealed, modified pipework was installed and light guards were fitted as part of the refurbishment.

The completed press was finished with a two-pack epoxy paint system.

THE CHALLENGE

The press required a comprehensive workshop refurbishment.

The work involved more than cleaning and repainting. The hydraulic cylinders needed resealing, the pipework required modification, and light guards were fitted before the final finish was applied.

  • Strip down and clean the press
  • Reseal the hydraulic cylinders
  • Fit light guards
  • Install modified pipework
  • Apply a two-pack epoxy paint finish

OUR APPROACH

Strip down, repair, modify and refinish.

Active Hydraulics treated the press as a complete refurbishment project, carrying out the hydraulic repair work alongside the mechanical modifications and final coating so the machine could be returned as a coherent finished assembly.

ENGINEERING FOCUS

Hydraulics, pipework, guarding and finish.

The engineering focus covered the systems and physical condition that affect the press in service, including cylinder sealing, pipework routing, light guarding and the final protective finish.

Cylinder resealingHydraulic cylinders resealed as part of the refurbishment.
Modified pipeworkPipework modified and installed to suit the refurbished press.
Light guardsLight guards fitted as part of the completed refurbishment.
Two-pack epoxyTwo-pack epoxy paint applied for the final industrial finish.

THE RESULT

A refurbished hydraulic press with renewed hydraulics, guarding and finish.

The completed refurbishment addressed the hydraulic cylinders, pipework and guarding while also restoring the overall appearance of the press.

The final two-pack epoxy coating completed the workshop refurbishment and provided a consistent industrial finish.
