Hydraulic component repairs
Assess and repair or replace suitable hydraulic components where failure, wear or damage is affecting the machine.
HYDRAULIC REPAIRS & UPGRADES
Practical hydraulic repairs, modifications and upgrades for plant, machinery and industrial equipment from our Keighley workshop.
HYDRAULIC REPAIR SERVICE
Hydraulic problems are not always solved by simply replacing the failed component. We look at what the machine is doing, inspect the hydraulic system and work out the practical repair or upgrade route.
That can include repairing or replacing hydraulic components, modifying pipework, improving connections, rebuilding power packs or making changes to an existing hydraulic arrangement where the original system is no longer doing the job properly.

WHAT WE CAN HELP WITH
We can work on individual components or on the wider hydraulic arrangement where the fault is part of a bigger problem.
Assess and repair or replace suitable hydraulic components where failure, wear or damage is affecting the machine.
Repair, replace or modify hydraulic pipework, connections and routing to suit the machine and application.
Investigate hydraulic power-pack problems and make practical repairs or modifications to improve the arrangement.
Improve an existing hydraulic system where changes to connections, controls, layout or components can provide a better solution.
OUR APPROACH
We focus on the actual application rather than automatically replacing parts. The aim is a practical solution that works for the machine and is maintainable afterwards.
Establish what the machine is doing, what has changed and what information is available about the fault.
Assess the component, connections, pipework and surrounding arrangement to identify what needs attention.
Carry out the appropriate repair, replacement, machining, fabrication or hydraulic modification.
Where an upgrade is appropriate, the finished arrangement is checked before the equipment is returned to service.
TYPICAL HYDRAULIC WORK
The right repair depends on the equipment and the fault. These are examples of the types of hydraulic work that can form part of a repair or upgrade.
Investigate leaking hydraulic components, connections, hoses and pipework and determine the appropriate repair.
Assess components showing wear or damage and identify whether repair, replacement or modification is practical.
Modify or replace pipework and connections where routing, access, leakage or system arrangement needs improving.
Investigate hydraulic power-pack arrangements and carry out suitable repair or upgrade work.
Improve hydraulic connections where quicker changeover, easier maintenance or a more practical machine setup is required.
Make practical changes to an existing hydraulic system when the original arrangement needs improving rather than replacing wholesale.
WORKSHOP-BASED SUPPORT
Active Hydraulics provides workshop-based hydraulic engineering and repair support. If a component, machine or hydraulic system needs attention, we can discuss the requirement and work out the practical route.

HYDRAULIC REPAIRS FAQ
Yes. Tell us what the machine is doing, what has changed and what you can see. Photographs, measurements and component information can help us understand the problem.
Yes. Where appropriate, we can look beyond the failed component and consider pipework, connections, power-pack arrangements and other parts of the hydraulic system.
Yes. If the existing arrangement can be improved, we can look at practical modifications such as pipework, connections, components and hydraulic system layout.
Our hydraulic repair work is workshop-based. Contact us with the details of the problem and we can discuss the most practical way to get the equipment or component to us.
